Conformance target

We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard used across the site.

At present the site partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conforms" means the site meets the standard as far as our own testing shows, but an independent audit on the live site has not yet run, so we don't yet claim full conformance. See Known exceptions below.

What we've done

  • StructureSemantic HTML landmarks (navigation, main content, footer) and a logical heading order on every page, with a skip-to-content link.
  • KeyboardEvery interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline and no focus traps.
  • GraphicsDecorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology; informative graphics — the process diagram and the sample batch ticket — carry text descriptions.
  • FormsEvery field on the quote form has a visible, programmatically associated label, and errors are conveyed in text, not by color alone.
  • ContrastText and background combinations are audited against the AA contrast thresholds across all pages.
  • Reflow & zoomLayouts reflow to a single column on small screens — including a card-based version of the comparison table — and support browser zoom.

Known exceptions

We would rather name issues than hide them. No specific accessibility exceptions are outstanding on this site at this time. Our conformance claim stays "partial" only until an independent audit runs on the live site (see How we assessed this site); if that audit or anything else surfaces a barrier, we will list it here with how we're addressing it.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you hit a barrier on this site — something you can't read, reach, or operate — please tell us. We treat accessibility problems as defects to fix, not requests to weigh.

Call us at 1-800-872-9995, or use our quote and contact form — add a short note describing the page and what went wrong, and we'll help.

How we assessed this site

Volucrete assessed this site by self-evaluation: a rendered color-contrast audit of every page, plus an automated accessibility test suite covering visible focus outlines, hidden decorative graphics, and form-label association.

An independent evaluation using the WAVE tool on the live site is planned at launch, once the site is deployed to a public address.

Compatibility

This site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and with the screen readers built into those platforms. It does not rely on JavaScript for its core content — the pages and the quote form work with scripting turned off.
